How my journey began…
My yoga journey began over ten years ago in my early teens, when I started using the practice to improve my physical and mental health. A childhood injury that left me with chronic back pain fueled my desire to understand my body’s anatomy and learn to identify the source of pain through a healing practice.
In 2018, I completed a 200hr yoga teacher training with Lara Heimann in Princeton, NJ. Through better understanding of anatomy, the classes I create cultivate a sustainable yoga practice while also building strength through weight bearing, using smart sequencing and dynamic movement principles.
Since delving into my teacher training, I have made yoga a consistent part of my lifestyle and have found true connection between my mind and body. Through my practice, I have been able to alleviate the discomfort caused by my injury by working with the right muscles and strengthening my core to minimize any strain on my lower back. For me, the practice isn’t about just the physical movement, it’s about intention, connection and awareness that spreads beyond the yoga mat.
As an event manager and community builder, I am passionate about creating enjoyable experiences and bringing people together in a positive atmosphere. These principles are woven into the design of my yoga classes, which teach safe movement patterns that incorporate creativity and focus on the breath.
I hope you leave my class not only feeling relaxed and rejuvenated but also having learned something about the body and yourself.
